Country pages, and what the catalog is not

A country page is a view. A row in the database is the evidence.

The country service on the development stack renders a page per catalog country. Its catalog lists on the order of 49 names. That list is not the ingest footprint. Ingest has written rows for 19 countries so far.

The page reads the cache and the satellite service. If the backend is busy with an ingest, the home page menu does not wait for it. Country pages are cached. In an internal R&D test on one development laptop (not user traffic), the Kenya page stayed under a tenth of a second at ten concurrent readers. That is a test result, not a capacity figure.
